365 Days/ 365 Plays
September - December 2020
Suzan Lori-Parks' 365 Days/365 Plays is a collection in which she wrote at least one play a day, every day for a year. This was done as a form of spiritual practice within her playwriting.
UEA Drama's production of 365 Days/365 Plays explores a shorter collection of Suzan Lori-Parks' work throughout her year of writing. Her work began on 13th November 2002 and finished a year later having penned at least one play every day. Each play has a distinct story, characters and drama. They often explore important socio-political themes and discuss them beautifully and in an innovative style, unique to Lori-Parks work.
This production explored approximately 120 of these plays, split across two different performances.
